Ryen & I are talking about our September 2022 budget numbers! Not only do we show where our dollars went, but we also discuss if we stuck to our budget limits.

In this video, I'm sharing all of the craziness that happened in September between my Wedding, Bachelorette Party, and a quick weekend trip to Seattle for a Seahawks game, and Ryen shares about all of her unexpected vet expenses, as well as how she was able to help a friend.

What do you do with your budget after the month is over, and you’re ready to begin a new month? Most people don’t realize it, but your spending throughout the month gives you some incredibly helpful information.

One of the first steps to creating and sticking to a realistic budget is tracking your expenses. Your spending is the underlying foundation for creating a budget and ensuring that your budgets in the future are successful.

If you are not aware of where your money is going, you can’t make the best decisions for your dollars. Today, I am going to show you how to extract all of the vital information from your expense trackers using the "Where Did My Money Go?" Worksheets.

My husband was so reluctant to combine funds until I cash flowed our wedding, my part of a down payment on our house and a new mattress in a year. Then we combined and I am paying off his debt monthly now.

Our long term goal is a self sustaining homestead where I can be the hermit of my dreams.

“The freedom to choose” this got me in tears. A few days ago I was able to do something similar and still very emotional about it. A mom on a FB group I follow had her special needs kid hospitalized for over two months now and with all the expenses was about to be evicted from being behind on rent. I felt so compelled to help, that night I couldn’t sleep just thinking about her and her son. So the next day I PM her and ask (actually beg) her cashapp and send her something to help. The joy that gave me has no comparison. I never spend that amount of money in me but giving it to someone to help… OMG. I just can’t stop smiling since.

Awww Ryen, You are such a sweetie and an angel. 🥰💕 Our furbaby got an allergy test done and it turns out that he's allergic to alot of things. He sees a Dermatologist Vet specialist and is on an allergy Vaccine every 3 weeks.
Yesss, Miko! Financial fulfillment!!!
We want to ALWAYS maintain wiggle room to be able to help others! ❤️❤️

Ryen ..what an absolute angel.
I wrote down that quote: 'The Freedom to choose."
I had a blessing similar to that, there was a pile of groceries left outside our house ..still to this day...don't know who it was from. 😍

I must say this is my favorite budget recap so far this year! Worth the wait! Ryen, you inspire me so much. You are an incredible person and Miko your sentiment say's it all. Financial fulfillment. YES! With or without debt, when you have a plan and have it all covered and have a surplus, you can give to others who don't and that is AMAZING! I love this channel and am so happy we are all caught up! Can't wait to see how the year closes out. This channel has been a HUGE influence in my debt free journey. I'm rocking it too! Thank you! 💗

I'm so glad I found your channel last year. I purchased the BBP book, a d started writing everything we spent down and creating a budget. I always found budgets hard, until I discovered the BBP method. It makes ao much more sense, and I found it easier to stick with. We have a massive mortgage, a LOC for repairs after our house fire, and now a car loan (after unexpected vehicle write off that insurance wouldn't cover). We wanted to tackle the LOC first since the interest was the highest, and the bank of Canada has been raising rates to combat inflation. It was close to $15K amd my partner and I were determined to pay it off by December 31st of this year. Happy to say we paid it off the first week of September. It was actually $23K as of September last year, so we're super happy. It's motivated me to be more mindful of our spending and focus on saving and debt payments. I have an account for car insurance so I can save the extra few dollars they charge for months processing so I can pay upfront when insurance renews, have all birthdays, Xmas etc. saved for, and a house maintenance account. Our plan is now to pay off my car in 3 years instead of 7, and save for renovations. Love what you do and for motivating us and showing us it's possible.

I also offered a job to a young woman. Who in addition to being qualified, showed so much heart in that she had left her previous position to care for a family member in their final months on earth. Ryan. As my mother in law always says, "God will grant you more."

This video was like a bunch of girlfriends sitting down chatting and laughing. I’m sure my coworker was like what is wrong with her😂 got my drink and pulled up a chair and so much enjoyed this video. ❤❤

I love watching The Budget Mom videos - but these recaps with the two of you are my favourite! The advice is good - but you make it so much more accessible with your personalities, your friendship and sharing your own stories. I am only a few years out of school but I feel so confident with my finances and following your advice has helped a lot with that!

Love it Ryen! Even when I had debt I did the same. It may have been only 20 here and there, but I knew I was ok enough to be able to do that. A little goes a long way!

So glad to see you both!! Congratulations on your wedding!! My husband and I finally got a joint account after 17 years because it was too much for me to keep track of what bill came out of what account. I'm looking forward to paying off debt and saving for a house!
