HIGHLIGHTS: Liz Truss faces questions over mini-budget in PMQs

Prime Minister Liz Truss was accused of "avoiding the question" and "ducking responsibility" by Labour leader Sir Kier Starmer in the first PMQs since her mini-budget was announced.

I honestly thought I never would see a prime minister worse than Boris and I only had to wait a month.

She completely snaked around the questions. She just kept going back to her energy price cap, while blaming the war in Ukraine and the global economy.

It's absolutely PATHETIC how she avoided the very first question, referring to the Energy Bill 'cap' which is totally misleading because homes will still be paying over £2.5k. They've got no answers

If she repeats the "we have helped families with energy costs" again I'm going to be sick. IT'S A LIE. It's OUR MONEY that they are guaranteeing to energy companies through loans they themselves make unaffordable. They are mortgaging OUR future in order to guarantee profits for their mates WHILE handing out tax breaks at the same time. It's DISGUSTING.

She infuriates me more than Johnson.
She's including the whole mini-budget when criticised, the point is the tax cuts part which favours the already wealthy are causing the market instability.
Either she's thick or pretending to be thick.

This is exactly why I wanted Liz Truss to win... I don't know why anyone is shocked by her performance. All you had to do was look at her track record up to this point. She is genuinely unintelligent and completely out of her depth and I cannot wait for her to sink the Tories.
