I know nothing of Dune. Never read the books, never saw the Lynch movie, so I watched this with zero expectations. I came away stunned. two and a half hours felt like fifteen minutes. A genuine cinematic classic already.

I really hope we get a directors cut or extended version or at least all the deleted scenes on a DVD. I would have happily sat there and watched 4/5hrs of Dune, it was immense and ended too soon for me. Watched Dune knowing very little about it and was surprised how much the story was a product of 1965, the Cold War, and the fight over Middle East oil. Was a mesmerizing work of genius and can’t wait for Part Two.

These days movies can't convince ppl that bad guys are actually bad and scary. It's not believable enough but Dune changed it for me.
I really believed in every scene and this was nothing but spectacular

I went in blind and went out blown. Literally became my favourite film ever. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the execution of each scene and the plot, everything is mind-blowing. I always love movies with thorough worldbuilding so I don't really mind the pace, although many people have said that it's quite slow. The only problem for me is that I need the sequel now 😭
