Injured my shoulder a few years ago using hand weights. Occasionally still gives me trouble.I wish I were closer to you guys! Thanks for all you do!❤️

I've had these (supraspinatus shoulder impingement) systems on left shoulder for the last 3 months. Cause: heavy bench press. I'm 50. What was I thinking? Anyhow, this is what has worked. Deep tissue massage with handles of scissors (repeat downward motion about 50 times 3 times per day). And dead hang - 30 seconds 3 times per day. Pain has reduced from like 9 to 3. I'm not out of the woods yet but i've made major improvements over the last 7 days. Thanks Bob and Brad.

4:50 internally rotating and lifting it up like that hurt so badly even before I got to 90 degrees that I couldn't move the arm anymore. When I did it again, however, I could do it without that stabbing pain. I feel it even when I'm just lying in bed and shrugging my shoulder. And now after I have irritated the muscle I can feel it pulsating when Im completely still.

I seem to be like Bob on one side: semi-positive and I get just a twinge, but it is enough to let me know that all is not quite right in there. It would be ideal if there were some range-of-motion exercises to do now, before things get so bad I have endless appointments for x-rays, MRIs, PT work, and am told to take drugs with side effects.

Another great video thank you! I have noticed that my shoulder tends to pop when I move my arms in a certain way. It does not hurt at all. The last of the five tests make one shoulder pop and I was wondering if that's bad and if there's anything I can do to fix it.

Can you comment on the pain more down the outside arm when doing these tests? Shoulder itself seems to move ok but there is pain down the outside arm between shoulder and elbow when doing these. The pain on the outside arm is there with many movements not just these tests. I’m sure it’s related. Can you direct us to a related video if there is one?
