5 Special Drop arm test | 5 Easy Tests To Diagnose a Rotator Cuff

Are you experiencing shoulder pain or limited mobility? In this informative video, we present five easy and effective tests that can help diagnose a rotator cuff injury. Our focus today is on the special drop arm test, a widely recognized examination technique used by medical professionals to assess rotator cuff problems.

I have been suffering from shoulder pain for over a year, so much pain that I was unable to do bench presses or pushups. Initially I though the pain was a result of shoulder impingement, I underwent decompression surgery of my left shoulder last month and the surgeon found 2 of my rotator cuff tendons were torn. They have now been repaired. Rotator cuff injuries are so common and that’s why I want to show you how you know if you have a torn rotator cuff .

The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that surround the shoulder joint, enabling its wide range of motion. Injury or inflammation to these muscles can cause discomfort and affect your daily activities. By performing the special drop arm test, you can get a better understanding of the condition of your rotator cuff and seek appropriate medical treatment.

This is just awesome. I injured my left cuff 10 years ago doing cable lats pull down behind my neck (awful for the shoulder). The injury never healed completely and from time to time it came back, clicked or made me feel pain when doing bench press or military press. I followed these exercises doing them 2 times a week each one, and in just on month the clicking and pain went away, my strength improved and my trapeziums grew a lot. Thanks a lot James! I owe you a big one.

Well this was very helpfull. I failed every test for a SLAQP tear. My Dr. even after MRI still won't do anything for me. I have been in severe pain and not sleeping for 6 weeks. I started therapy per him and even the therapist stopped because of the severe pain I was in. I think it's time for a new Dr. I tore my Bicep tendon 2 years ago on the same arm. Thank you

Oh thank goodness, I passed all three tests! I hurt my shoulder yesterday and it still hurts quite a bit, but I could do all these things. I think I just strained a muscle. Thank you for this video, it really helped me get peace of mind! (However, I know the tests aren't conclusive so I'll continue keeping an eye on my shoulder until it's better).

I have pain in my right shoulder since last 3 months due to playing of cricket but in x-ray nothing seems like dislocation or fracture. Is it rotator cuff injury? And how long it take time to heal naturally. Please guide me I will be very thankful to you.

I was just wondering I just put 2 weeks in at job after working there for 7 months I had to vacuum with a backpack vacuum every 2 days out of a 5 day week and I noticed in the morning when I got up I had slight sharp pain in both shoulders I’m 25 and am wondering if this could be something with the cuff or something else I’m also having/ had some pain (feels like a pulling out of socket feeling) when I breathe deeply in the shoulder .

I know this has nothing to do with the video but I believe you can help. I was at a football camp and hyperextended my left knee. I felt pain instantly but once I got up and walking it was gone. About a day or 2 later my knee feels unstable but still no pain. Could there be something wrong or am i just thinking too much?
