Been waiting for your review of this monitor like a kid on Christmas. Thank you.

I used the AW3423DWF for about a year, and after purchasing the LG 32GS95UE, which I've been using for around two months, I no longer experience any eye strain, even during extended sessions. I'm extremely satisfied with this monitor.

It would be great to see a side-by-side comparison of both 32" WOLED vs QD-OLED

It's amazing piece of tech but that pricetag.... 1400$ and no burn-in warranty is a joke.

No burn-in warranty is a deal-breaker for many. Burn-in was a concern for me but the burn-in warranty from Dell made it an easy decision for me to get the Dell AW3225QF on launch date.

I have this below a 42” LG C2 oled for video editing and color grading with the bonus of having an incredible gaming setup. Built in color calibration is really nice, using my i1 display pro makes this monitor very accurate just make sure you go into advanced settings and use the max number of patches. Matte display is NOT an issue on this monitor people saying so don’t own it and aren’t using it next to a glossy screen. The pixel layout is so much better for text, it’s really a relief to not have color fringing around text! All around love this monitor, I think it’s the best for my needs and I would 100% buy it again!

The switch between 4k and 1080p reminds me of CRT monitors. You could trade resolution for refresh rate on those and they overclocked really well.

Thank you for the nice review. The only benefit of this model vs. current Q/W Oleds are 480hz refresh rate at 1080p on a 32 inch monitor. To me, this just isn't enough

1. Size 32inch way to big for esports regardless of putting it way back.
2. 480 hz benefit is really nice at 1080p as seen in the UFO image however only available at 32 inch
3. You can’t get the 480hz benefit (as Ali at Optimuum shows in his review) in cropped modes (27 or 24 inch) at 1080 to make the picture smaller on panel. This in my opinion is the key issue with this panel. I also wonder what happens to input lag in cropped modes. Would be great to get your input on this.
4. Most people moved to 1440p vs 1080p so going back-at least for me personally- is not an option

So I am not sure this differentiation at this price level is any value to anyone who is looking for a high refresh rate esport functionality.

You said it there right at the end, a "very thorough and in-depth review."
Fantastic f*&#en work Timmy.

I've been watching all the videos recently, your final thoughts are the same as mine. I think QD OLED is the way to go, having that glossy screen and higher brightness I feel is much more important than a dual mode.

Let's a proper review not just mindlessly reading off of the spec sheet

I thought WOLED would be far superior for brightness, wasn't expecting that small of a difference. I also would have liked to know more about the in-built Pixel Sound screen speakers. Surprised you didn't cover it.

No DP 2.1, no glossy finish, no burn in warranty. With lack of these things it is simply WAY too expensive in my opinion.

With all these OLED Gaming monitors releasing and especially this one not featuring a burn-in warranty, the 27GR95UM looks like a great contender for people using their display for a mix of gaming/work. Sadly there are hardly any updated reviews with the new firmware and it is still not available in Europe. Rtings has it on their todo-list though, any chance we get a video here as well? Cheers

I was going to wait for the 27" 1440P 480HZ variant, but ended up trying the Asus 540HZ TN and truthfully had a difficult time discerning in a game between 360HZ, 480HZ and 540HZ. I hated the way the TN looked so I returned it and ended up buying the Alienware 360HZ OLED and honestly, I couldn't be happier and at $1000 CAD I thought it was a great deal.

Finally. Been waiting on this.
Seen contradicting reviews, so interested what Tim's take is (while hoping there's text clarity for white-on-black covered).

@monitorsunboxed Nice review, but you forgot the speakers completely. Would have been nice to hear how the 2 x 10w speakers(pixel sound) sound like.

Kudos for showing that the bezels are larger IRL than advertised.

Thanks for the comprehensive review. That's a lot of work you've done.

At 3:27 you say, "If you want to use Nvidia features that are incompatible with DSC..." What are those features? Does it affect DP as well as HDMI? Limiting yourself to 120 Hz on a 240 Hz monitor seems problematic.

At this price point it's a pity that the dual mode functionality cannot be controlled from the desktop, possibly via an app and USB cable.
