Love this recipe! I made this for a family brunch (used 10 large eggs instead of 5 and 3/4 cup milk and added an extra 30 mins to cook time) everybody absolutely loved it. The eggs were fluffy and all other ingredients were cooked to perfection. Will definitely make this again!

Made it this morning. Too many potatoes and we love potatoes. I think it will be better next time using 1 lb of potatoes instead of 2 lbs. In going back to watch the video, I noticed they poured HALF of a 2 lb bag of potatoes into the 2 qt dish. Using 1 lb of potatoes should make the sausage, cheese and egg ratio almost perfect. If you think you want to use 2 lbs of potatoes, you will need a 3 qt baking dish and even that dish will barely hold it all. I will definitely make again with less potatoes.

Has anyone made this as a freezer prep meal? Did it freeze well and did you cook it bwfore freezing it? Betty Crocker Q&A on casseroles says you can freeze breakfast casserole before or after cooking, not sure which way is better.

Can I use fresh potatoes instead of frozen hash brown? I understand the potato will have to be washed and dried to remove starch. Also can I use a baking dish with a lid I have instead of silver foil?

The fat is the best part!!!! I use the fat! But you can also use pie crust on bottom and I’ll use like 8 eggs

So, I made this casserole this morning for work and I'm not 100% sure if I liked it. One of my problems is the cooking time. I think the 1 hour and 10 minutes is too long. My onions were scorched. My potatoes looked nothing like the potatoes in the video. They were all loose and cheesy. Not mine! If I make it again, I'm definitely cutting the cooking time, omitting the onions, and I'll cook it uncovered the entire time. Surprisingly so, even with the burned onions, everyone at work absolutely loved it! In the blink of an eye, that casserole was gone! Go figure!

Made this recently...the taste was very good; however, 2 pounds of potato was too much for that amount of eggs and milk....My guests agreed with me....too many potatoes
