The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA is the definition of handling, and the more modern twin spark engine in this example perfectly complements the chassis.

Once again, I so enjoyed your comments, depth, and just general demeanor. No politics, no agenda, just a pleasure, the pleasure, of enjoying a love of cars. Thank you very much Donald!

Had a 1976 Alfa Berlina that was a lot of fun and a great family car... you're correct, lower HP cars are
more fun to drive as long as the engine and trans are matched for performance.

I always was so impressed by Alfas and this car in particular. As with most cars from my youth, I couldn’t afford them then and I can’t afford them now.

Perfect, in every measurable way. Whether it’s the original or the new interpretation of that old shape. Everything you want in the car.

I must say I've been a fan of Alfas for over 50 yrs, especially the 105s. Both the GTVs n GTAs.
I live near Seattle, Wa and this past June, I want to the Historic Auto Races. I was happy to chear on a Mid bore GTV, TRANS AM style car. Which actually won a couple of races.

Back in 1967, when I was buying my first car, which turned out to be a 1964 Alfa Giulia Sprint Normale, there was a GTA on the lot at International Motors in Falls Church, VA priced at $4, 000. My salary at the time was just under $4, 000 so the $1, 500 Sprint was all I could manage. We were warned against pushing down on the bodywork of the GTA too hard, it would dent. That dealership had some gems back in that era, it was owned by a real enthusiast, Peter Mueller.

Donald, come to Chicago next September for the Alfa Romeo national convention and you can drive a convertible version. I’ve got a 1968 duetto with a gta driveline in it. It gets driven regularly and has 35000 miles on it since it was built in 2008. And that’s to the store, on the track, on back roads tours and trips to the national conventions. It doesn’t ever see a trailer unless I break something. It’s a true retro rod, being that everything that was done to built it could have been built in 68. There are some real gta parts on it and a lot repro pieces too. It’s a car Alfa should have built. Still runs a 1600 with the twin plug head. Taller spindles to change the geometry to gta spec. The tear is off of a gta stradale. It has a close ratio 5 speed and a4:56 lsd

It was interesting hearing Donalds exposure and interest in Italian cars. l live in Australia and from a young age drove Fiats and love most Italian cars.l have no connection to Italy, although l have been there a number of times. There is just something about ltalian cars.

Is it injected? Not a stupid question - Alfas were using Spica injection during this period but I'm sure all of the track cars mostly ran Webers .

Using the comedians in cars getting coffee paradigm is unsatisfactory for those of us who wanted to see this car in action.
