Everest Base Camp

There it was! We were so close! Feeling astonished and euphoric, finally, we were at the base camp of the mighty mount Everest. The roof of the world! Almost 9km high, the beauty of this giant was out of this world. Standing majestic and silent, right before our eyes. It made us remember the heroics of the first Bulgarian to ever ascent it. Hristo Prodanov was only the fourth person to do it solo and the thirteen one to achieve it without supplemental oxygen. Doing it via the most difficult and long route - the Western ridge. He had never returned. We felt pround and rapturous, thinking about all the brave man who dares to set their feet on it.
