Went to base camp about a year ago. It takes about a week and 70kms just to reach the start of this video. At that point your buggered and all you want to do is stop every few minutes and catch your breath. Anyone who climbs Everest is a gangster.

The people that did this back in the day without the benefit of all of today's technology and groundwork laid by past climbers are truly amazing and/or nuts.

Just incredible. I watch every video that I can find on Everest for a couple of years now even though I would never intend to climb it myself. I’m amazed by the people who decide to.

This music in the video is played on a loop through everests PA, which consists of speakers placed randomly throughout the climb. Apparently it really gets you in the mood.

A suggestion: Put an incline graphic so people know just how steep the ascent is at each leg. It's not like walking up a gentle hillside.
