Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

in 1973 Led Zeppelin did a concert at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. I lived over a mile away and could still hear them clearly!

No one can play drums like that. John was crazy on the drums.

I’ve TOTALLY MELTED into pure ECSTASY after hearing this slice of HEAVEN early this morning for the GABILLION-TIME! I remember being so young, kidless, free & a working woman getting up early & playing this SWEET-VINYL-ALBUM religiously on my turntable.
Thank You LED ZEPPELIN for making me FULL-ZEN… you 💯% never seem to DISAPPOINT.

Someone in TEXAS ✌🏻☮️🤍💟💃🏻

Another great example of Zeppelin's ability to give new life to an old blues song. Bonham really shines here.

This is one of those songs that the louder you play it, the better it becomes. Absolute masterpiece.

John Bonham's kick drum is so profound on this track. It's so good. May John Bonham and Peter Grant rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️

It's not JUST the SOUND of Bonhams drum(s) or the beautifully lonely harmonica or Robert's singing or Jimmy's crying guitar, like a Mountain Man coming to grips with this inevitability.
It's all the subtleties too.
Hauntingly gorgeous, melancholy never sounded so earnest.
