Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

The stars aligned when these 4 met each other. There will never be another Zeppelin. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I've tried over the years to get everyone I know to love Led Zeppelin, but they never dig deep enough to hear masterpieces like this. It's not all Whole Lotta Love and Stairway to Heaven. These guys were so diverse. There's something for everyone to love.

I don't care what generation you're from, if you don't recognize this as one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded, you aren't really listening.

Everyone may not discover Led Zeppelin at the same time, but when they do, it’s at the right time.

I graduated from HS in 1973. The soundtrack of my youth. What a time to be alive.

I am 55 today. It seems that the time just flew by. The 1970s seem like yesterday.

Plant is a genius of imperfection. Listen to when he sings 'These things are clear to all from time to time'. He can't quite hit the note on the second 'time' and his voice breaks. But that break sounds so much better than if he had had a larger range and sung it perfectly. Anyonerobot can do something perfectly. But to do it imperfectly and sound better than perfection... that's what genius is.

70 years old; we all took music from this period for granted in those days, thinking it would always be this good.
How wrong we were.

After all these years, I can’t hear this without getting goosebumps. It is perfection.

So powerful... suddenly I'm 15 again. Shivering on the beach and drinking booze from a paper cup. There was so much magic in the world back then.

This is my favorite Led Zeppelin song. The acoustic guitar along with Robert Plant's velvet voice I would say is one of the best songs ever recorded❤
