I can, terrifyingly, relate to Azula a bit. While I'm not as "close" to my father (I'm closer to my grandmother, ironically), my mother adores her perfect little baby boy. The Golden Child. When my brother and I fight, we get violent. They favour him, the pride of my family. I'm the child who was told she was a pyschopath.

I like how Azula also has that scar just like Zuko meaning she too also had the same experience as Zuko.

Azula was Brilliant, quick witted, she was smarter than her brother, stronger, she was a born leader on the wrong side. Maybe if her mother loved her more she would have used that brilliance for good. But she just kept fighting for the favor of the only parent who gave her any form of attention she became a weapon for her fathers favor. I think she could tell tho that her father's favor was fleeting that it came at a cost any thing less than Magnificent and she'd loose all his love. That breaks my heart that Azula felt her only worth was in how Perfect she could be & if she wasnt she'd loose it all. I relate to that

I can relate to Azula so much is scary but for me it was my friend, she lives across the street and whenever we fought they always said “she’s an amazing friend how dare you yell at her” and then continue to comfort her. For context she would hit me and body shame me. She also is the main reason I have depression and attempted to kms.

I have an awesome relationship with my dad (unlike Azula’s awful father) but my mom is always on my younger brother’s side every little thing. Kinda weird how it’s similar to Azula
