Had fire ants in Louisiana. Nasty little buggers.
We used a similar product. It was very effective.

Recently moved into a house and the backyard was infested with fire ants, they kept biting my toddler when he would play outside. I found the biggest colony I’ve ever seen sprinkled a little bit of this around and on the hill in 3 days there was absolutely no sign of life from them. I recommend this product to anybody.

actually some of the granules don't actual kill the ants just chases them away from the area. If you use the ant baits near the nest that will remove the whole nest. You will have to add more traps over time to get rid of large colonies. I am having an issue at present with fire ants I use both granules and baits.
