Poor grilled cheese 😢 I can't tell what you should have used, nor when, but I will break the rules just this once.

Sour Cream instead of Mayo, and use the mayo in place of the butter.

Add chives or green onions, as well. A pinch of salt and pepper wouldn't kill you either.

If you're feelin frisky one day... you could add in a side ramican of lemon or lime juice.

You could even 'season' the mayo or the cheese with a bit of Paprika.

Let the taste buds have a bit of fun, ffs. Plus, it all works really well with 'cutting the alcohol with grease' ... so to speak.
