Hey everyone! Thanks for watching, and leave me any additional questions you have. I didn't include G-Sync/FreeSync in the video here, mostly because of the Adaptive Sync standard that's available now. If you want to see a video about that in the future, though... leave me a comment here

HDR is really awesome for movies and TV shows, but not that much of an improvement for gaming. I play games in HDR on my Series X and LG C2 TV and I don't miss HDR at all on my PC gaming monitor. Brightness is also much more important for TVs with HDR than for a gaming monitor. A 500 nit monitor is just perfect and doesn't cause me eyestrain. Low latency is important, but I never noticed any improvement measured in single milliseconds. The BIGGEST monitor feature that improves gaming is variable refresh rate. G-Sync and FreeSync are the best monitor/GPU features to hit gaming. This is because variable refresh makes gameplay look very smooth even at lower FPS. I won't buy a monitor without this feature.

As a fps/rpg gamer the first thing I consider is HDR performance and color coverage(or color depth).
better image quality make gaming more delightful than higher fps imo
(I can play apex at less then 60fps and get kill but I can't stand the quility below 2K and 8-bit color depth, those are inhuman (or CoD at 45fps

I bought an Acer Predator X27 when it came out for the best 4K 1000nit HDR goodness for console gaming on a small screen. It was 2 grand and looks like a dream, but time has passed and now TV's smoke it with HDMI 2.1 allowing for higher refresh rates and VRR for consoles along with full bandwidth color. Not to say it's not good looking with a load of dimming zones, but for the price of this monitor, there are more TV's and monitors that can give comparable experiences.

I originally had a 1080p 27inch 144hz monitor and after going to 1440p 27 inch i didnt realize how much crisper it would be with the higher pixel density. Cant go back to 1080p now

Had the Cooler master GP27U for a week now. It is insane good. Nearly as good as my LG OLED for deep blacks but gets way brighter. Was only £800

I’m debating between an oled tv or monitor. Both have uses but getting both is way outside of my budget. I’m getting oled though as I have it on my phone and the thing reads better than my kindle 😍

YouTube reviewers actually make finding a great gaming monitor very easy. Just watch a lot of different opinions and then make your own

I'm rocking a 27' 1440P 165hz. Not planning on upgrading till a 32' 4K 240hz comes out. Please no more curved screens.

decent basic info video... but the prices at the end are crazy high unless that's in Canadian. I've had a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor that I paid $240 for new in 2018. 1440p 144hz monitors should NOT cost more than $300 or you're wasting money. And 4k monitors shouldn't be more than $500-700 or you're overpaying too.

How about a top tier gaming monitor for the ps5? I travel alot for work so lugging around my 65" Samsung 8k from state to state kinda sucks lol. So a 32" would be awesome. Any suggestions?

I'm in need of a new monitor and have just started to look. I think that burn-in would be a worry for OLED monitors used for gaming, correct?. Static images such as the heads up, mini-maps, etc are common with any game and that's what causes image retention. Do I need to worry about burn-in with an OLED monitor?

I really want a gaming monitor for my ps5. I saw one for sale, an 24inch 144hz 1080 1ms, LG display. Is that a good fit for a ps5?

Would it be possible to cover Quantum Dot technology in an easy to understand format? As an add-on to led and OLED, what the pros and cons would be for each?

This is not "ultimate" in any way, it's restating the same surface level information you could already find everywhere for years...
