Are you having issues with your pump? I'll walk you through the process of priming the pump and show you better options to pull water effectively over the sides of your freezer. Learn how to create an even more amazing cold water therapy experience.

// WHY COLD PLUNGE?

// TEMPERATURE

A good temperature for your cold plunge is around 50°F. No need to go much colder. The benefits - like noradrenaline production - begin at 60°F water exposure.

!!! BE SAFE: ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE FREEZER HAS NO POWER (IS UNPLUGGED) WHEN YOU ARE USING THE COLD PLUNGE - AND REMOVE THE FREEZER DOOR LOCK !!!

// PRODUCT LINKS

*Note: These are what I used with my setup: Whirlpool - 14.8 Cu. Ft. Chest Freezer - White Model:WZC3115DW. Customize as needed for your own version.

• Wrap the threads in teflon tape.

• I control the Pump and UV Clarifier with the same Smart Plug because they run together.
• I control the Freezer with a different Smart Plug and only run it on a timer at night.

• I program to turn off my Smart Plugs when using the Cold Plunge.

I used two of the (1.5 quart) kits and had a little left over.

Thanks again for all of your videos. The UV clarifier you are linking isn't available any longer. Do you have a suggestion on a different model? I might have missed this but what did you use to apply the pond shield? Just a simple paint roller or brush?

Great video- Thank You! I have a 14.8 freezer but it appears to be much longer. Do you happen to know the dimensions of yours?

Another great video. Thanks. SIKAFLEX-291 is used to shield off the seams of chest freezer, right?

Great videos and the visuals make things very easy to understand. Nice work! I want to head down the UV clarifier route but I don't want a submersible pump in the cold plunge itself. Is there a particular reason why you switched to a submersible pump vs the exterior pool pump? And do you think its possible to use the exterior pool pump setup with the UV clarifier in lieu of the ozone? I think it looks cleaner to run plumbing from the bottom rather than hoses over the top and would want to incorporate that in my setup.

Hello Man . Im sure many people understand this video but most of the things went over my head ( i am completely new to this ) . I read somewhere in the comments that you have made a better setup and will be uploading a video for that soon . Could you please make it so that a complete beginner can make the setup, and what mistakes i should watch out for and if possible how you actually made that new setup . It would help a lot . And yeah great Videos

Hi there! what have you used to set your freezer on? I know that some chest freezers can dent on the inside if your dont have stability under it.

Hi Just curious... wouldn't it be better to run the water thru the filtration system and then the UV filter?

I’ve bought two different kinds of pumps and they both slow and stop pumping efficiently. Are there any pumps that run in cold water? Or should I buy a pump that runs out of the water
