Best Cold Plunge Under $200? // The Cold Pod First Impressions Review

I recently got into taking ice baths and cold water therapy so I decided to buy a tub for my daily cold plunge. I went with The Cold Pod because it had great reviews and they seemed to have a dedicated team with a cool product. This is a video of my first impressions and my first few times using it. Fun fact: if you're able to figure out your body's exact volume by seeing how much water you displaced you can then get your body density and get an estimate of your body fat %. It's called hydrostatic weighing.

1. Can you leave pod outside in freezing temp? And simply break the ice layer on top to enter?

in Asia we usually take cold showers (not ice cold) so I suppose it's not something extraordinary but I think it's really refreshing to dive in ice cold water every once in a while.

Hi Dorian, thank you for your video! I have a similar setup, (no pump, no chiller), I just buy ice and put 65 pounds of ice, (it gets it to exactly 40 degrees), and it's outside. Can you please tell me how many days i should change my water? Also, how much choline should i put in the tub. I have similar measurements as your plunge. The last thing i want to do is plunge in dirty water 🥶

How much water do you put in the waterbottles and how many do you use? I assume if they're filled to the top and then frozen they'd just sink in the pod. Thanks.

Can it be used outside and left on a deck in the winter? The water would probably freeze and would have to add warm water to melt the ice. Maybe the freezing would burst the sides.
