Very heartfelt talk about the ups and downs of weight loss (and gain). You need to look back and watch your past vlogs, because they might re-motivate you. Look forward to the holidays and how great you’ll feel when you are slimmer. It’s not a diet that you lose and go back to “normal” eating, it’s a healthy change that can and will last! Your future self will thank you for sticking to it!

I have used food since I was 4 years old to cope with physical and emotional pain. I agree with the spiritual aspect. Like Lee said it's human nature to try and avoid pain. Thanks for your sharing and honesty. I appreciate you.

I’ve been on a diet all my adult life!!! Hardest thing to do and it’s impacted my life way to much. I’m 67 and I’m trying to desperately lose it all this time and keep it off. You keep trying because I know what the extra weight does to the way we look at ourselves. People can say it shouldn’t define me but it sure doesn’t help how I feel about myself!!
Keep trying!!! You’re doing it slow but sure.👍🏼💕😊

Oh yum...thank you for the suggestion on the tea...I have a Trader Joes gift card and going to get some....beautiful color sweater, but still too hot in Florida...can't wait to be able to wear a few ....I am from Buffalo New York so from one extreme to the other...lol... you are doing great Amy....weight loss journey for me is a lifetime ...just the way it is...slow and steady...life takes over at times...stress has a significant impact on weight loss and amazing how much it effects so much of our body...I have had two TIA's stricktly related to stress...so I have learned just to do the best I can in everything ...including weight loss...I just eat healthy and live my life and not think of it so much anymore...it was making me crazy. and depressing....I count calories now...which works for me...it really relates to the 30pt PP system...I have also started the fitness center, more for strength.... I feel great and not so stressed and also down 19lbs since June...best wishes...you got this....

Me too. I found that it's more difficult to lose weight as a single empty nester. My youngest has been on her own for 6 years.
I am looking at the notion of treating myself well with nourishing food, among other things.
I am still on light duty and indulged in a ten minute localized massage by a professional on Saturday.
I miss exercise.
Yay, pizza.

i think we all know if we work the program it'll come off...we get it, we don't need people telling us all the time, do we?! Cheers to you for continuing to try....I stopped for a long time and am finally back on track and I appreciate your ideas very much.

Changing life long life habits takes all our focus, yes intention. Choices choices choices. The ones you do and weren’t going to make.

So so much of this resonated with me. I have been a RN for 30+ yrs and went back for my BSN in my late 40's. I tell myself all the time that I've done some really hard things so why has this weight issue been something I just can't seem to get a handle on!! There's the saying that goes 'It's not what you're eating but what's eating you' or something like that. I have been on/off many diets since I was 13. I am currently reading the book 'Full' by Asheritah Ciuciu and just trying to figure it out. Definitely a spiritual issue for me too! I appreciate your vlogs because you keep things real and the struggle IS real and I find you inspiring because of it! Keep going, keep inspiring! I know you will figure out what works for you and we'll be here cheering you on!! :-)

Amy, I like the stripe blouse, it looks very nice on you. Too bad the dresses didn't fit, they are gorgeous. The black top looks so comfy. Enjoy your new clothing, hoping you can exchange the other items for the right size.

Oh my gosh I totally was just saying the same thing about my weight being a spiritual issue for me too. Yes yes yes!

I think being overweight and trying to lose weight is very stressful. From infancy food/love are closely connected. So many things from church activities, family gatherings and work functions are centered around food. And when we have to say 'no' to food when others are saying 'yes' is hard plus when we say we are dieting, others watch us closely which is more stress. I haven't told a lot of people, and for me it has been a long, slow process (4 years to lose just 30 pounds) but people are now beginning to notice. When they say 'are you on a diet' I always reply, no, just trying to eat healthy.

There is a book Made to Crave...turning to food before turning to God. I haven’t read it, but you might want to check it out since you mentioned the spiritual aspect. If I still have a copy, I’ll give you a copy. With Classic how many daily and weekly points do you get?

Superwoman! Breaking desks in half...LOL! Losing weight is a hard thing for me too...and maintaining that loss is even harder. Do you think that mindset change can ever become permanent? I hope so!

on the mindset thing... I started calling this an adventure instead of a journey. I am beginning to think journey is being over used. I am not sure how this changed my mindset but it seems to have done it, at least for the moment. I think you and your husband, now that you are empty nesters, should take a vacation and de-stress yourselves.
