Wow, you've raised *many* valid points throughout this week's Savvy Tuesday, Amy :D 01:03: "Marketing is not having the best product out there, its making sure that the message gets out there…" Now obviously this could be a different, much bigger debate altogether, but when faced with any task, having the right mentality can make all the difference. 02:30: "You're competing with yourself" I have never thought through that perspective; come to think of it, most people only really think about how to outdo other people, when its equally important to outdo yourself; to improve upon yourself...

I really like your point on how having a great product isn't enough "marketing." I've definitely found this to be true, especially since I'm working on creating a marketing strategy for a start-up as part of my coursework -- the service is amazing, but the company isn't gaining any traction because it has no marketing plan in place.

This is also a perfect reminder for me as I continue my internship applications -- it doesn't matter how amazing I am if I can't show it to my potential employers through my resume, cover letter, and resume. I am a great product, but I need better marketing strategies.
