Body Shot Placement on the Heavy Bag

We all forget to imagine that the heavy bag is really supposed to be imagined as a human opponent. Sometimes when we hook to the body on the bag, we forget that the opponent’s arm could be right there. In this video, I’ll go over the importance of placing that body shot in the right spots to deliver the pain 😈.

I’ll make sure to remember this for the future. I always found it next to impossible to actually land the liver shot in sparring so I would opt for the much easier straight punches to the solar plexus/abdomen region when throwing body shots. But this’ll up my game.

When discussing shot placement like this, I think it’s paramount to talk about positioning/angle relative to opp and the footwork required to achieve those angles.
You mention such on the last example, but what about the rest of em? The window behind the elbow for the liver shot is often pretty far especially without thoughtful footwork
