As a boxer I can tell you that this is great stuff. It's classic Mike Tyson movement, peekaboo style boxing. The next level is to work this rhythm while moving forward on an opponent who is retreating or moving side to side. Of course to demonstrate that you need a third guy to hold the camera and move around with you. Nice job.

Thanks for the tip! I’m a rather shorter male, but I have lots of stamina and I’m interested in learning different techniques than just the one I’ve always been comfortable with 👍🏽

The body is open no matter if your boxing or MuayThai kickboxing.its the training, coaching, drills that will show you the awesome vulnerability of most fighters that ignore protecting and crushing the body !

There are two more drills. One is called progressive slipping, which mean one would double pump the shoulder in the same direction and strike twice in succession fading away, or driving in deep to the body. The second drill would be rolling then strike, and then slip and strike simutaneously opposite side of body.

To answer your question.i believe you must feint, slip or jab before throwing a body shot. The danger of the counter KO is always there!!

@cindybin2001 Lol you misunderstand me. What I meant was with the "Press forward and stand each time you fall" is no matter what problem comes your way in life it will never stop you from achieving your goals. Whether that be from people spreading rumors about you, financial issues, traumatic experiences, etc. I'm sure if you try it once your feelings might change.Hitting the punching bag on stressful days are especially great!

So I take it your views on combat sports is still the same? Well either way no worries I'm just happy I was able to have a discussion with you though not as in depth as I was expecting. No matter, thanks again for your time.

@itadakatsu each strike. Each strike slowly whittling away the shell they have had to raise in order to live in a world that thinks of only itself.

Personally martial arts is a passion. It is the only thing I have found to continuously challenge me everyday. Testing me physically, mentally, as well as spiritually. I will not deny the satisfaction of landing a strike on an adversary... But I also will not deny the satisfaction of being hit back and still pressing forward.

@itadakatsu Yes boxing is brutal and hard and dangerous. You can get knocked out in a flash even when everything is going your way. The most important lesson I've learned from boxing is always to press forward and stand each time I'm knocked down. Now let me ask you this... Does that lesson not also apply to life itself?

Thank you for your time

@cindybin2001 I know it's old but I'd like to add a personal perspective. Yes it is true boxing is more brutal entertainment than art for most people. In my eyes (for Martial Arts in general) fighting is as natural as breathing. Not all fighters are brutish and bullies, there are many of us who train in boxing not just for knowing how to fight(just a small portion of it) but also to learn how to live. Many youth have been saved from wrong decisions by channeling their energy into
