I see many people are confusing the NEOL light explained in this video with the strobe light so lemme try to clarify things:

The strobe light is a WHITE flashing light and has a higher intensity than the NEOL light which is blue. Many people are unaware of the NEOL light and simply claiming that this video is fake, in which case I invite you to simply make a quick Google search on the "Airbus NEOL light" to find more information about it. (You can also look below for some more proof)

As for the hook, yes, I was playing with words and it was very clickbaity, you are 100% correct there and I am sorry if it upset anyone, I will avoid making such bold statements for future videos. But because I'm kinda petty I do wanna say that **technically** I didn't really lie at any point haha, but yes I am sorry

This is quoted from AirbusWorld, a portal available to Airbus customers and operators, MROs as well as to other registered organizations. (Source is owned by Airbus):
*REFERENCE: ISI 33.41.00003* (DESCRIPTION OF NEW LED NAVIGATION LIGHTS & NEW LED STROBE LIGHTS INSTALLED INSIDE SHARLETS)
NEOL indication is a blue LED, which flashes 1000 operating hours (OH) approximately before the light presents emission intensity luminance below the predefined threshold as per the CS-25 requirements.
NEOL indication of navigation lights can be checked visually while the navigation light is operational. There is a NEOL indication per module, NAV 1 or NAV 2.
For the strobe lights, NEOL indication can be checked visually while the strobe light is not operational and the red beacon light is operational and even, when red beacon lights are switched off for a 30 minutes energy storage from internal capacitors located inside strobe light power supply unit.

Anyway, hope that helps clarify some things :)

I for sure thought this video was going to be something more serious than a warning light when to change a light bulb

Note that this is only for aircraft with LED navigation lights. The older halogen ones have no indication, they just go, and obviously they go more frequently than the LED version

Red - starboard (left)
Green - port (right)
White - rear.

Reason is so you know at a glance which direction the plane is facing at all times
