This video shows a simple somatic exercise to release negative emotions.

What is the science behind tapping?
Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), is a scientifically proven method rooted in ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. When we tap on specific points of the body, like our chest, we're stimulating the body's meridians, to promote balance. Tapping has been shown to reduce the production of cortisol, the stress hormone, and trigger the release of endorphins, our body's natural mood elevators - it can reduce the physiological stress response and promotes relaxation.

What are the benefits?
Calmness: Feel overwhelmed, anxious or about to have a panic attack? Tapping on your chest can help you find your inner peace in just a few minutes.
Stress Relief: Say goodbye to tension. Tapping helps to melt away stress, leaving you feeling lighter and more relaxed.
Improved Focus: By calming down your nervous system, tapping clears the mental fog and enhances your concentration.
Emotional Healing: Whether you're dealing with past traumas or everyday frustrations, tapping on your chest can help you process emotions and let go of what no longer serves you.

How to do chest tapping?
1) Find a (quiet) space where you can comfortably sit, stand or lie down.
2) Take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
3) Using your fingertips or knuckles, gently tap on the center of your chest next to your heart.
3) As you tap, focus on your breath and any sensations you may be experiencing. You may close your eyes.
4) Continue tapping for a few minutes, or until you feel a sense of calm wash over you.
5) Relax and let go.

Disclaimer: Do not do this if you are pregnant.

You can even do it if you cross your hands to make a „bird“(!) and just slightly tap with your opposite hand on your collarbone or just tap with a finger alternately on your elbows.
Maybe for people who can’t take hard touches.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
