I tried this today, and it was AMAZING. By far the only donut glaze that worked. The donuts were a huge success thanks to the glaze ( I halved the recipe btw cuz I had 12 donuts not 24 ) Definitely recommend these .

Originally I was concerned about leaving a birthday cake out on the kitchen counter with a frosting (or glaze) with dairy in it.
Salt, Vinegar (and other acids), and SUGAR, powder sugar in this case... provide this glaze it's shelf stabilization.
