New to the channel. High value men have morals, ethics and core values. They pursue excellence spiritually, mentally, and physically. They surround themselves with others who pursue excellence. Don’t waste time with haters. Great content. Thank you.

I gave a presentation this week at work. It was about worker issues in the warehouse and the audience were the top execs. I dressed in a long sleeve shirt, clean belt, dress pants and dress shoes. That is not how I dress for work but I did it for two reasons: 1. I wanted to show that I respected them and their positions. 2. I wanted to show respect for my co-workers as I was speaking on their behalf. I've been asked to give the presentation again for one the execs that was out of town even though he could have just asked the others. :)

My Grandmother always said, “your habits become you” and “time waits for no man” “if you are drowning, pray to God, but swim for the shore!”

Sage advice. People often avoid setting goals, and striving for them, because they fail to be systematic. Plan the work, then work the plan.

It is something that I am teaching my nephew right now. Preparation is the mother of success. If you set goals, determine a strategy to achieve them, and derive a realistic schedule for incremental success, every day will be a step in the right direction. Confidence by competence. When you KNOW that you have put the work in, that you have paid the price, the psychological effect is palpable. When you KNOW that you are prepared, it gives you the psychological edge, to execute at the critical moment.

One of my favourite proverbs is one that I have adapted from the Japanese “ Cry in the dojo, laugh on the battlefield. Laugh in the dojo, die on the battlefield!” If you expend your energy in preparation, if you suffer to gain strength, you will conquer at the critical moment.

Wow Kevin Samuels's influence has reached RMRS. Insane. Even threw in the bit about how real HVM cannot be lone wolves.

Mindset shift 1 before undertaking the steps: recognise that ‘high value’ is subjective and depending on who you interact with what they value will be different. Realise that until you have your own definition of what it means to be ‘high value’ and your comfortable and self confident with that definition, you’ll never be content in your pursuit of being a ‘high value man’.

I love, love, love this. "Choose Hard." I've always hated short cuts. Doing just enough to get by. Communicate with conviction but also with diplomacy. Expect things to change. Discomfort transforms. Winners do the things losers don't want to do.

Love your comments on Networking. I remember some friends and I about twenty years ago were lamenting that we were not in a “good ole boy” network and missing out on opportunities. We then said “let’s build our own “ole boy” network.” Find people that you can help and be of service to them, helping others takes your focus off your concerns and will open up your world. Semper fi! I was Fox Company ‘’86 at Quantico.

Well ... you're definitely high value when haters try to put you down. They're simply jealous.
Continue to up your game & freak them out even more.

Referring to your second point of choosing your hard, I really recommend the book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F***. I know the title makes the book sound pessimistic and a**holish, but Mark Manson, the author, talks about the same points that you gave about choosing your hard and how life is hard whether you choose the successful route or the unsuccessful route, so you might as well work towards the successful route. Here is a quote from the book: “Life is essentially an endless series of problems. The solution to one problem is merely the creation of another." An example Mark gave and his similar to yours is becoming a healthier person. Choosing to live a healthier lifestyle, while it is the better option, also creates the "problems" of taking time out of the day to go to the gym or having to eat foods that may not taste as good as the unhealthier counterparts. It's a great read that I highly recommend!

I'm binge watching these and loving it. Thanks Anthony. I am watching with greater interest after hearing about your background. You've really adapted, improvised and overcome.
