after doing this go to setting, go to camera, then to format and put it to most compatible, it will change any picture you take after that to jpeg instead of heic

Yay! Now I don't need to upload to a 3rd party app anymore.. it works on my iPhone 11 Pro. And FYI commenters, JPEG and JPG works the same.
