if you are a little advance user, make a ruby file and add an automator listerner that detects soon as it sees heic, it automatically converts to jpg, if i get about 40 likes this comment, i can make a video

Just come across you tutorial on converting, if you are after a quicker way select files as you did and right click there is then quick actions, select convert image - options here are jpeg or PNG. Hope this helps speed up peoples workflow - I have these actions setup on the right of my finder bar which also gives quick option to rotate or Create PDF

Very helpful thank you sm!! Only thing is that for my Mac, I’m very bad at tech and couldn’t figure out how to get to that photos area u started with and only knew how to start at downloads.

If u guys have the same issue, just right click and press “show in finder” when ur in downloads and you’ll get to where he is!!
