How to Convert HEIC to JPG on a Mac

Learn how to quickly convert multiple HEIC images to JPG on a Mac laptop or desktop. Details below...

Select the HEIC images to be converted.

If the program, Preview, is the default viewer, double click on the files to open them all in Preview.

If Preview is not the default viewer, right mouse click on one of the selected files and from the menu choose Preview from the "Open With" section.

Within Preview, choose "Select All" from the Edit menu.

From the File menu choose "Export Selected Images".

Set the location for the files to be saved.

Click on the Options button. From the Format drop down choose JPEG and set the Quality slider to the desired result.

Depending on the version of Preview, click on the Choose or Save button to export the files.

my s"elect all" is not high lighted...how can I change that, please?

On my MacOSMontery I open the image in preview hit control/c together then control/n together. A new window of that image appears. When I x out of the new window it will ask if I want to save as a jpeg.

What about JPEG to JPG on mac? A foreign embassy only accepts JPG format for their visa application and therefore I cannot upload my travel docs as my photos are JPEG? Thanks in advance!!
