(My coach always yells at me cause it’s my responsibility to call them off, like I do they just don’t listen)

Actually you should not stretch before you play, but you should warm up dynamically. Stretching before you play lengthens the tendons involved in jumping, giving you less elasticity and making you less bouncy. There is an argument for stretching to prevent injury, but DROMS and stretching after practices and games will be more effective without killing your vert

broo in 7th grade i was on the volleyball team and I heard other people shouting "help!" (the thing the setters shout when they cant get the 2nd ball) and I though it just meant someone telling the people on the court to get the ball, so during games I would always shout "help!" when I wasn't the setter, I wonder how much chaos I caused looking back....

As a setter, i fully agree with the last one, once in a game, i was watching my grandkids grow up and by the time they grew up and went to college, there still wasnt one successful pass

I "accidently" took the second ball ball once (I'm not a setter, I also only play with my church and sometimes we go to competitions) one of the reasons why I took the second ball is because it was to loud in the gym we were playing in so I could hardly hear anything and the setter was im the bottom left and corner of the court while I was in the top right hand corner of the court and the setter couldn't get to the ball fast enough. At least the setter I played with was super nice and understanding of the situation. Also, a good thing the coach was nice because the setter in the coachs daughter so I didn't want to get on their "bad side" (My coach is super competitive)

I was avoiding stretching before our practice, but now I'm stretching at the end too. And my teammates REALLY LEAVING THE FIRST BALL FOR THE SETTER AND THE ARE TAKING THE SECOND and i have told them SO many times not to do this!!

Everything is right but don't stretch before playing. Studies shows a decrease in jump performance if you static strecth before playing !

Yes the younger girls on my team keep taking the second ball when I didn’t call for help and could have made a beautiful set
