On that day if pentecost 16 different foreign languages/tongues were miraculously spoken and understood, by the power of God, without those people of God having had to go to school to learn each other's tongues /languages.

Ok, I love John MacArthur. And I know Joseph Smith was a false prophet preaching a different gospel and another Jesus. But guilt by association with the charismatics/pentecostalism seems to be not necessarily an entirely soundly reasoned argument.

And that's why I ran them away from my house years ago. I told them then what Christ had said about new prophets: Mark 13: 23 "But take ye heed; behold, I have foretold you all things." Then they tried to bring my son into their fold. I told him and them that they are not welcome to teach him anything in my home. I told them to meet with him somewhere else, like the sidewalk. Or if he wants to go to your church you can teach him there, but not in my house BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT THE SAME DOCTRINE AS GIVEN BY GOD THROUGH CHRIST JESUS!
And they still tried to come here and smugly asked "who owns this house." Had to run them off again. Tried calling on my phone for my son, who by the way is 32 now but 30 then. Told them that he doesn't live here and the number is my phone so don't call it anymore. My son got angry with me and said that since I don't want him to be a Christian?!!👀 that now he's going to be an atheist! This was after I told him that if he wants to listen to the that he had to go somewhere else with them, but they could not come here.
So now because of death threats to me he is cooling his jets in jail and may have to do prison time!
Now they are reeling my neighbor in and taking her to their church. Why do people refuse sound doctrine and prefer lies? Because they love not the truth! 2Thes 2:10. Yes, I am long winded when it comes to God's Word!😂

You are so correct. I have many Mormons in my family & I pray God will draw them away from the false doctrine it teaches. They are really sweet people & I wish more Christians were as zealous for Christ as the Mormons are ( although their Christ is a different than the biblical Christ)

my ex spoke in tongues many times.. he had giftings from God.. believed all but tongues but God proved me wrong !!!! a retired pastor (from CA) looked at our for sale house.. he touched the stairway railing.. he stared at the opposite wall (I saw him dzs of times speaking in tongues running up the stairs looking at the wall) in his prayer room. Curiously the Pastor said to us standing there: "I feel the indwelling spirit of the Holy Spirit, he looked at his wife and said "we are buying this house!" they did.. didn't walk thru the house.

First of all Joseph Smith was a false prophet, PERIOD. BUT, it's wrong to knock down the spiritual gifts of the spirit that Christ Himself has given to His church, just because a false prophet rumored to have had such experiences with no real evidence. You have no excuse for speaking against the true biblical gifts of the spirit is recorded in 1st Corinthians 12 and 14

I'm sure that when he mentioned speaking in tongues he's referring to the jibberish that has been made popular for a long time now. But speaking in tongues is when you speak in a foreign language to people of that language.
