The moment I click and hold down to start dragging all the clips, the selection changes to only that one clip and deselects all the others. Doesn't work for me unfortunately

For Davinci Resolve 17:

Trim Tool - Lasso All the Clips - Press "U" to highlight handle you want - Hold down Command & Drag

I've got a feeling this feature is messed up in V18. Argh... Tried 4 different ways.
Now, I've got the same exact thing going on, images need bulk clipping.
But even when using extra steps like U + CTRL - someone said in the forums - the image-clips don't seem to change size (more often growing, usually just unchecking the clip side).
EDIT NOTICE! Got it working by not selecting the first clip, and pressing U twice. Then dragging. At the same time, all the other layers had to be locked, for the clipping/stretching modified track lengths globally...

Any idea how to stretch multiple clips? This didn't work to stretch multiple clips to said sound clip on version 17

This did NOT work for me, it only shortened the clip I pulled on. I am running 18.6.2.
My main thing is to TRIM one second from each end of every clip on my time line. Most are about four to five minutes long and I might have as many as 20 clips. Like I said I want to trip from each end of every clip one second. Any ideas?
Thanks for your time.

Davinci 19 is out and they still haven't added a multiple clip shortening feature. But hey we got a bunch of crazy ai features which most will use maybe 2 or 3 times a year so... 🤷‍♀

My friend, can I ask you a question? In davinci resolve 17 " I am in a clip that has two tracks, one for my voice and one for the sound of the system, and I took my voice right to the mic and modified it in my audition And I want to add it with the track, right to the system and the video. I mean, I modified the track, right of my voice outside the program, and put it in the timeline, but!! If I want to cut, I have to click on the modified clip from the outside, but I added it to cut but if I didn't do this. I will cut the right of the tracks into the sound of the system and the video, so what is the solution?

I dig this little trick! I normally stack each one above one another and adjust the length to get the same time with the magnet mode on.

Do you know how can this be done in Premiere Pro? Is only trimming one video at a time.

Going to try this today. I need it to only trim 1 specific camera angle (the sound sync is off so I need to adjust that one camera). But the entire hour long multi cam clip is already cut up. So I’m *HOPING* that this can save the project tons of hours. If it can trim and adjust just that one camera and all the clips associated with it…then this is GOLDEN! Still helpful either way actually. All my other camera angles are synced perfectly with the sound. And they only have videos. Only 1 actually had the main sound. So just one camera is off sync.

What is the "U" key? The horseshoe is snapping and the U on my keyboard doesn't do anything for this.

Unlike the bots below, I’m real and appreciated this one. Until now have always done it the slow inaccurate way, clip by clip. Thanks.

Man, you saved my life. I would have probably jumped out the window if you did not see that trick.

I am in the process of switching from Premiere Pro over to Resolve! This is a great tip! I did note that in Resolve 17, you have to first be in the Trim [T] tool before selecting all the clips. I was using the standard selecting tool [A] like he does in the video and could never get this to work. But if you first switch to the trim tool [T] and then select your clips, then hit [U] you can get this trick to work. Hope this helps! Thanks!!

I knew how to use tat tool but never thought of using it this way. Awesome. Thanks a lot!

It seems one of the keys for this multiple clip trimming is to NOT have the first and last clip selected! And it makes sense, given how DaVinci does the trimming ”under” existing clips and not plain and simple cut.
