Patches meant nothing in the 90's. Less than 10% of customers would get those patches via dial up internet if that. So the game HAD TO WORK at launch back in those days and Elder Scrolls Arena did work more or less. Please dont make it seem as if the fix after release culture that exists now has always been the norm.

I used to really love Bethesda games! I've definitely put thousands of hours into Skyrim over the 14 years it's been out. However, the checks stopped coming in. Bethesda used to give influencers like me the royal treatment! I'd get to go to events, get lit at an open bar, and then they'd take me into the backroom so I could smell Todd's feet. Now I'm lucky to get his used socks.
