perfectly done and explained. Of course, having a pretty beefy gaming pc my system and bios does not look like yours, but you explained it well enough for me to interchange and interpret. After booting up post update, I was not asked for any key and was on my happy way! Thank you brother.

Hi, I don't have the key and I'm kicked out of windows I want to bypass bitlocker, I could bypass it in the past now it just wants the password and I don't want to lose my files on the laptop

Would be great to explain if the recovery key has to be typed in every boot. and when how to fix this. is suspending and reaktivation the bitlocker in the aftermath doing the trick, or have you have bitlocker do be disabled fully and decrypted fresh to fix that beaviour ?

My bitlocker is disabled but when I want to update the bios it says to me . Please suspend bitlocker and any encryption or security relying on the tpm. Make sure you have alreadystored and backed up the recovery key. If the recovery key is missing while encryption is active the data will stay encrypted and the system will not boot into operating system.

okay so all 5 of my drives including the thumb drive say :none: bitlocker version / fully decrypted / 0.0% / and lock status; unlocked. Does this mean i have absolutly 0 bitlocker and can update my MB driver with no risk of getting locked out? :)
