6 Physical Symptoms that Might Be Anxiety

Показать описание
Are you experiencing anxiety? Aside from its mental symptoms, anxiety also produces a roster of physical symptoms such as insomnia, fatigue, and muscle tension. Most people pay more attention to the physical symptoms as they are easy to identify. As a result, people tend to treat the symptoms rather than the underlying cause.

I told my mom that I felt as I had anxiety or depression. She never seemed to care when I tried to tell her what was going on. I still feel depressed and anxious each day. I don't know what to do and keep feeling depressed more and more each day. I have had so many things happen to me in my younger years and still deal with those things up to this very day. Anytime I feel or try to be happy, it gets ruined by my family. I will never feel happy. I am always sad and don't know what to do about it at all. These videos always inspire me and I appreciate that.

The hardest part of having anxiety or a mental challenge is when your loved ones tell you to keep it a secret or try to deny it to keep up appearances. I can't imagine the misery of anyone who has to through this.

I know because when I used to be a martial arts teacher and one time a young girl had trouble breathing while in class. I calmed her down and she was fine after some time. When I tried to discuss the issue with her mother she was extremely offended and mad at me. Like how dare I suggest that her daughter was less competent than "the other students''. She was staring daggers at me for the rest of our conversation. I also suggested that It wasn't the best idea to have her compete in the next tournament because she just started 2 months ago. I said she is quite introverted and needed time to get comfortable competing on stage in front of a crowd. that seemed to add fuel to the fire. What she told me in a very loud and commanding manner was that she is raising her daughter as a champion and not a loser. She blatantly denied the fact that the girl could have any problem with stage fright. She is far braver than I took her to be she said and I just needed to get her on the stage and she will do the winning for herself!
Later she showed up the day of the tournament with her daughter forcing her to compete against her and my wishes. She puked literally on my lap because of being so nervous and not getting on stage. The mother's reaction was infuriating to me, she immediately started yelling at her daughter dunking the milkshake a few minutes earlier. Which I gave her to try and calm her down!
Dear parents your children are not racehorses that compete to fuel your ego and entertainment they are little humans! FORCING CHILDREN TO COMPETE AGAINST THEIR WILL IS EVIL! period.

The depersonalization, for me at least, is the worst. I have an extremely hard time comprehending and retaining information and it scares me. Actually it’s terrifying because I feel out of control. Now that I know blood supply is shunted from the brain to the muscles, maybe running in place for 10 minutes may help or the cold shower method. I’ll try it next time because there will be a next time. I’m 48 and had this since I was 19 but we didn’t talk about mental illness back then. Not openly, anyway

I am so thankful for this video, really, the timing couldn't be perfect. I suffered from anxiety for years and years and it's slowly coming back even after some years spent doing therapy. some things I experience are physical illnesses such as strong, strong headaches, muscle aches, stomach problems, shorteness of breath. This has been worrying me for quite some time because I haven't been able to feel better for quite some time snd my anxiety develops around that too. So thank you

Does anyone else get chronic twitching and shakiness for having anxiety for so long that sometimes you don't even know you have it?

i've had many anxiety attacks in the past and i used to confuse them for panic attacks until i had an actual panic attack earlier this year honestly i'd rather it be an anxiety attack bc i know i'll be fine in an hour or 2 but it took me the whole day to recover after the panic attack they really are very different

Thanks for saying what you guys said at the beginning. Anxiety is being anxious and scared constantly about things that are in the future or past, not just the present. It’s being so uncontrollably afraid that it harms you not just mentally, but physically too. I think that a lot of people self diagnose with anxiety just because they SOMETIMES feel anxious. I think a lot of people don’t realize what anxiety actually is. Thank you, for this video to explain better what anxiety actually is!

Sometimes I feel like there's a glass wall between my emotions and myself, making me incapable of feeling certain emotions in some cases and I don't know why 😕
