How To Avoid The Dry Cleaner

Hello!! I really enjoy watching you!!
I'm from Romania and here it's not really that dry cleaning is rare, but it's kind of stupidly expensive(even more so for a student like me). so my best friend gave me a little tip about cleaning silk, because we are both obsessed with it: if you can't dry clean a silk item-or you have a gazillion of them and dry cleaning would literally make you homeless-, you can wash it yourself, the trick is to only use cold water(as cold as you can so your hands don't freeze, but still pretty cold) and fabric softener mixed with just a little bit of some kind of stain remover(I use vanish for colored clothes and it doesn't ruin, but it does clean). the important part is that every little thing has to be washed separately, and never ever ever squeeze or pull the fabric. wash it like a little baby!! :))) this works for chlotes that are not very dirty or stained!And let it air dry.
I love my clothes and if it was up to me, I would like to dry clean them...but it is what it is...:))

Hey!  Do you use your regular detergent when hand washing your stuff, or do you use a fancier detergent?  Ditto on the dope belt!
