3 members of US Marshals Fugitive Task Force killed in North Carolina: Police

Three law enforcement officers were killed and five more were wounded in a shooting incident in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday afternoon, authorities say.

At the time of the shooting, the U.S. Marshals Task Force was serving a warrant in an investigation "when they were engaged by active gunfire from a subject," according to police.

How could this guy shoot eight law enforcement officers? I mean - they knew the guy was armed, 'cuz that's what the warrant was about. I could understand how maybe the first officer was taken by surprise, couldn't react fast enough to get his weapon. Maybe even a second officer. But eight? This doesn't make sense.

Zero reason to "serve a warrant" all they had to do was wait until he was driving to walmart and get him in the driveway. But they wanted to be SWAT without the skills and this is what happens.
