You can also disable useless things that you wont use. For example: You feel like using 20 mms on a 109k4 for a match. If you disable the "better 30mm guns" modification thing, your repair cost drops. Same goes with vise versa. You want to use 30mms for a match. Disable the "better 20mm modification" and enable the 30mm one. Note that you have to do this BEFORE matches.

Also take away the amount of shells you take into battle, this does 2 things, reduce repair cost and makes you tank harder to kill due to less ammo. Also another thing you can do is go get the 2 jumbo and farm. I do this.

Important distinction on that preset tip: You have to make sure to have the damaged vehicles back in active crew slots before changing nations or turning WT off for the day. Only in active crew slots do they get the crew skill applied. If they aren't in an active crew slot, they are getting repair ridiculously slow. This can be seen by looking at the stat card in the tech tree of a damaged vehicle when it is not in an active crew slot. It usually shows 20 days of repair time. Put it back into an active crew slot and check stat card again, it gets reduced dramatically. That's why I have a repair preset, where i load as many damaged vehicles as possible and change to that preset if i play another nation or leave WT for the day.

I play Air AB and have one crew trained in Zeros. There are 3 at 4.3 BR and 3 at 4.7 BR. If one gets shot down, I have a backup vehicle and I can switch between 4.3 BR battles and 4.7 battles. There is also another 4.7 premium Zero that comes with 30 free repairs. Use the free repairs wisely and don't waste them. Also some planes require a ridiculous amount of repair time compared to other vehicles. I use the universal backup which i earned for free on these vehicles. If it is near the end of the match, use the universal backup and don't get killed. I noticed you don't use the crew qualifications. If you spend the SL on an expert crew, you would get a +3 repair speed along with the other bonuses. You should have reminded people to bring the damaged vehicles to the front before logging off. Repair time without a crew is painfully slow. Click the research button to make sure you don't miss anyone. I also have a bomber crew trained in my favorite fighter. I don't use the crew to fly, they cannot handle the G-force. I only use them as a backup repair crew.

This was never explained to me in the game, I've probably wasted 5+ million silver lions over the years. Maybe there was a tutorial for this in the game I just never watched it. The UI for war thunder, particularly with crews and presets has been confusing from the get go as well. Repair costs made me hit a silver lion wall where I cant proceed. I'll be upping repair speed asap on all crews. Thanks for the vid.

The crew points, the repair rank, do i need to upgrade it on *only one vehicle*
for exemple *i upgrade it only on 1 plane and it counts to all planes (on the upgraded rank)*

or do i need to upgrade it on every plane again and again
and does the nation matters?

I honestly wish War Thunder wasn't free to play if it meant not having to go through all this BS and the ridiculous grind just to enjoy the game. If it was just a normal game with a normal progression system and required a single transaction instead of constantly paying for premium + spending hundreds pf dollars buying golden eagles just to enjoy it like a normal game
