This mower was being used when it suddenly stopped running, now the pull rope is really tough to pull.

I found your channel a few weeks ago and have been binge watching. I've learned so much about small engines from your channel. Thanks for making such well made videos

I have a 2003 model 160 Honda plain engine with the manual choke lever on a light frame, gave twenty dollars for the mower and transferred the Honda engine on a light frame . Just a trim mower, all I did too it was just clean the carb and the rest is history . That was three years ago, easy to push and pull, the more you have on one the more things too go wrong too . I can live without the clutch model . Great training video - thanks - keep it up . Saved your video just in case I get one to work on in the near future...

I agree, the less parts the better if maintained well. I always have a hard time to understand why people abuse their expensive equipment so often. I see it all the time. At least change the oil once a year on an average lawn, if bigger change it more often. Oil the moving parts like wheels cables etc. for every use or so. Great video. Many thanks.

When I have equipment with sealed bearings I occasionally remove the seal and re grease them, then replace the seal. Heat plays havok with them and off brands usually don't use good grease and or enough.

Absolutely perfect description and analysis without giving hrs of unnecessary rambling. Any unhandy man can follow and understand your inspection, reason for inspection and solution.
I have a Husqvarna L221a w/Honda CGV 160 Pull cord with exact problem and was able to follow these instructions and apply towards my mower. Thank you and I'll be following for upcoming videos. 😊

I almost have the same Honda lawn mower, the only problem I have with mine (I wrote this comment in some other videos) that the air filter cover falls off while I'm mowing, very frustrating, I do put back the right way making sure the filter it's in all the way and it falls off again.I end up putting a rubber band around the cover, problem solved.

I love the Honda blade clutch system, and wouldn't be without it. That particular model has the single-lever rear height adjuster, which is about the worst design aspect I've ever seen on a Honda; the connecting bar between the rear wheels is the lowest component, and drags on any uneven spot in the lawn. Doublewide6 has a very clever method of swapping out those clutch bearings. The 'bearing in the freezer' trick helps for re-installation.

Thanks a million. My 198X or late 197X HRA214SX. Other than a drive cable that was replaced under warranty and 1 spark plug, the air filter, oil yearly, and blades and blade holder, I've replaced nothing else. I'm very mechanically inclined but I was hesitant to tear into the blade clutch. This video was the exact repair. I was able to free it up but will replace the bearings.

I'm really excited to see the next video on this mower. The way you produce your videos really makes them enjoyable to watch and learn from.

Super informative and helpful video. Great production quality and although some of the terms were over my head I appreciated your attention to detail. Now I have a list of about 100 things to check on my Honda lol. Thanks again!

A claw hammer... When I worked in the oilfield I would have used a pipe wrench.

Simple is always the best option. Less components to wear or eventually break. As the saying goes, keep it simple.

Great video. I appreciate how you get to the point without needlessly rambling on. I’ve subscribed and will be watching more videos.

Amazes me that people will spend hundreds of dollars on machines like this one and then not do a lick of maintenance 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank you for sharing the video. I’m thinking I would have replaced the engine oil, then get the engine going to see what it was like before replacing too many parts. Regards
