Your video was very helpful. The pull cord on my antique Honda HS80 snowblower had gone limp. Nice to know beforehand what I should expect when disassembling a spring loaded part for the first time. After some fiddling around I finally noticed the rusted recoil spring broke near the hooked end. So I just bend the new end, placed it in the reel's slot and coiled it back in place and properly seated it inside the case. Then the trick is to untie the handle so the cord is completely on the reel.Turn the reel clockwise 1 or 2 turns until all the slack is taken up. Then pull the cord back thru the case's eyelet and the handle. You can now screw the cover back on the reel. Just hoping the fix will last until this year's final snowfall. One final comment: your video is even better when the volume is turned down. Thanks again. 👍

I would've given you a up-vote; except for the annoying loud music!

My spring doesn’t stay put. It jumps out when I let go of it. Any ideas?
