Notch is honestly very similar to George Lucas. Both started out with relatively small passion projects that caught lightning in a bottle and became a massive pop culture success. They both couldn't handle the stress that came with that and handed off the futures of their projects to other people. Then they both tried to get back into the business with both being relative failures at doing so before finally selling their once small companies to a huge corporations.

Notch wasn't a bad person to me. He made Minecraft, he made everyone happy. He even made me happy. And everyone else happy everyone is in joining his game so I thank him very much.

I literally feel bad on him and he deserves a lot more. I salute him for taking the hard decision to not take fame and loose insanity like most famous people do. They normally take the high road and turn from nice people to people who don't know who they are anymore and then lose control of them selves and out a bad image out to everyone.

I never knew he was a part of Mensa. Also I think notch represents something. He represents an independent guy with a dream who did what he loved and made a lasting impact. But in reality, he is just a human with human mistakes and problems. I can't hate on someone who has made such an awesome impact to the world.

This actually made me sad listening to what he's said before leaving Mojang. Had he stayed lead developer, the game might be entirely different, even better. I don't know what the hell Jeb is doing with all this magic bullshit. I like Minecraft, but I don't want a blocky world of warcraft. I prefer Beta over 1.9 in all circumstances. And honestly, I think Minecraft shall have a slow, painful death as a game.
