I think there's something interesting about how people go from addiction and other mental health issues (hypersexuality, attention seeking etc) to super-christian. It's almost like changing one obsession and pleasure giving thing for another. The obsession with being super devoted and following rules. And the pleasure and validation you can get from (usually predatory) churches.

But also so many of these people are so young when they got famous. I'm worried about that bc like the effect of all that attention as well as who has access to them probably lead to these outcomes ngl.
