Moving when I was a little kid wasn't a big deal for me. My parents would pack my brother and me up and we would spend the weekend with our grandma. Our parents would finish packing, move, and unpack in one weekend before coming to pick us up.
Moving as an adult is a lot more stressful for me now. With our last move 2 years ago, we weren't just moving but merging houses. My brother bought a house for our mom, me, and himself because I can't live independently, my support needs are too complicated to manage by myself, my mom has physical limitations, and my brother didn't like living alone. Sharing a house as 3 adults with our own needs and opinions has been a learning experience.

For me I have meltdowns with computers when they don't do what I'm trying to do. Also the changes in format with updates upsets me. I like to not rely on technology but I worry about the future because someday we will be forced to do EVERYTHING by computers. It really stresses me out. I like hard copies of things. Because computers and technology are so rigid with how they work they're not good for my neurodiversity. I have to bend to them instead of them letting me do something in my own way. I feel like I'm serving the computer rather that it serving me. Some people with Autism like computers because they don't have to deal with people but not me....not me. I like for things to work the same way every time!

Best of luck with everything. It's so very difficult to deal with.

Have 2 children and husband(he is undiagnosed) on the spectrum and have recently become an empty nester. I am looking at my life and realizing that in all probability, I too am in the spectrum . At the age if 62, I am wondering if there are others in the same age range who are wondering the same?! Btw, big thing for me and I cannot function unless all the beds are made perfectly lol
