Damn I messed up 11e and f pretty badly lol. You can't use factorial since it would consider all failed trials as unique elements. So for 11e, it should be 8 C 1 = 8. Similarly. 11fi should be n - 2. Then for fii, I missed that it is given that exactly 3 trials were successes, so this is a conditional probability: P(3 consecutive | 3 exact) = P (3 consecutive intersect 3 exact) / P (3 exact) = 0.05. Since 3 consecutive is a subset of 3 exact, the probability of the intersection is is just P(3 exact). Then, P(3 consecutive) = (n - 2) * pass^3 * fail^(n - 3) and P(3 exact) = n C 3 * pass^3 * fail^(n - 3), so the conditional probability would simplify to (n - 2) / n C 3 = 0.05 ... using an equation solver would lead to n = 11
