If you ever get settled again, try growing some mint. It's incredibly easy, in fact most gardeners have to confine it to a container so it won't take over the garden

I’m surprised mint is expensive, it grows so easily! Maybe that’s just my region, I don’t know how mint does it hotter climates. I’ve been thinking of doing this with basil since I’ve been watching this series! I’ve been growing a few different varieties including tulsi and Thai basil. good 😌

Started trying this method for a few different things yesterday! Chamomile, Rose Petals, and loads of spearmint. The rose cheong is already more liquid than anything else and it’s absolutely beautiful. Smells divine and tastes even better. I’m convinced it’s magic. The chamomile hasn’t done much yet. I pressed it down a bit more today just to see and it is starting to dissolve the sugar just very slowly of course. Smells bitter than the normal sweet apple smell which is interesting. The spearmint has lots of syrup already as well. Smells even stronger than it does if you massage a leaf between your fingers and also tastes near overwhelmingly minty. Very very concentrated flavor which will certainly make it last longer. I do want to try the pine needle one too but I’m not sure what’s edible here yet. I want to try to make a pineapple pork and pine dish with that. Not sure quite what yet but it sounds tasty 😋

Mint is one of the easiest plants to grow, you could always have mint on standby if you plant some, almost no effort to keep it alive & you get to benefit from its usefulness :))
