What is the issue when it flashes like crazy and doesnt start?

I have 2008 vw rabbit, I replaced the ignition assembly and the antenna coil is smaller than the oem and now giving me 01176 weak signal fault code

I wonder if a typical alternating current detector (chicken stick) held close to ignition immobilizer coil would detect function?

Yesterday, I used the D8 to program some Key fob/ keys for a 2010 Dodge Nitro. As soon as I did the immobolizer copy/paste-- the buttons on the key automatically worked... Then I did a 2002 Acura MDX, Just IMO keys, (no buttons or fob). It asks you "how many original keys?" -- and then "How many new keys" --- I kept putting "1 original, 2 new" --- and it kept failing to work. So I just did one key by itself, and that worked fine (1 org, 1 new).... Then when I did the second new key, I put "1 original, 1 new key" --- and it worked, but it erased my first new key.... So I had only one extra key working. I went back in and put "2 original, 1 new key" --- So then I had to insert the original-- then the working New key-- and finally I put the last key in and it worked well this So on Acura's, Even if you Just now programmed a new key, when you go back into the system, you have to treat your new key as if it was an original, and then it works fine (instead of original, it should just say "saved key"-- but oh well: there are quite a few incorrect words in the D8, you just gotta figure out what they mean Also, I had to pull key codes for the Acura. Luckily it lists the option right there next to the special function/ live data buttons... When it comes to programming keys, the D8 seems very good.
