How I Fixed My Sticky Guitar Fretboard

Gloss polyurethane finishes looks great on guitar fretboards, but my fingers would stick to it at sweaty gigs. This made string bending feel stiff, as the sticky board facilitates a lot of friction. Even with tall frets, this was a problem.

In this video, I show what I did to fix this problem!

Where's the actual fingerboard? There is no fingerboard. It's all the neck. They just put frets upon a maple neck to simulate a fingerboard. That's just a cheap way around putting a fretboard on it. I've. Seen expensive guitars without the maple fingerboard, they also used the neck wood, but there's lots of craftsmanship put into it and it works.. But You might need an actual fingerboard. People get ripped off by this. That's how you make cheap guitars. By eliminating the actual fingerboard. I always look for a separation of the wood types now when I buy a maple fingerboard guitar. I've been ripped off by this a couple of times in modern guitars. It's very controversial. Be careful.
