QUIT MY JOB TO DO MUSIC FULL TIME! (And How You Can Become A Full Time Musician Too!)

I made this video to tell you that even in 2020 everybody can make a living out of music and this is why I decided to tell you exactly how I did it. 

In 2015, I took the decision to move to London to make my dream come true which is to make a living out of music. Not from my music in general but make a living out of music. I moved to a new city without knowing anyone, never lived with people before, basically discovering life.

The first month I moved to London, I couldn’t speak a word of English but I kept fighting to find a job and I found my first job in a bakery. I stayed in this bakery for 5 months before moving on to different jobs. I started to go out, meeting new people every single week and going to different gigs.

On the side I wanted to get started my guitar lessons as quickly as possible to get extra money in my pocket, ‘cause as you know London is a really expensive city. After a few weeks I had my first students and it was so amazing.

So I figured, how can I get more students? Just grind it. I started to work crazy a lot of hours between my job and the lessons. In 2017, I asked my boss to get me a part time job because the amount of hours was ridiculous.

After I became part-time all my students left. Didn’t know what to do. So I wasn’t scared and got back to another full time job to get back on my feet. 

In 2018, the amount of students literally tripled. So, I decided to give it a go and try to become full time. And same as before it failed. So i decided to return to my previous job. I said to myself to not stay more than 3 months. It took me a year…

But then in 2019, I got 20+ students every week. And I do remember this day. In august I decided to give my notice once and for all and this is why I quit drinking and started to workout. The problem was I was drinking too much, such as my wallet.

I started to go to the gym, eat healthy, buy books, online courses about finance. After understanding that you should not trade time against money, my life changed. ‘cause I knew that I wanted to make it! It was scary the first week but then you get used to not having a boss!

Everything was fine until another dream came true. My first endorsement with Vigier guitars. It gave me so much motivation.

Then in march 2020, we all know what happened.. So I decided to move all of my students online. Which was actually my biggest dream. To work from home and being able to teach dozens of people every day! Before that I worked with my best friend from Sweden to make online lessons perfect.

And you know what? Now, on this day, my students prefer online lessons ‘cause it’s more convenient for them! I’ve got students everywhere in the world and omg that’s awesome!

Around april, may, I had a look to live in a cheaper city. ‘Cause if you get a cheaper rent or better quality of living, you will be much happier! And this is why I moved to Spain! Sunny everyday, cheap food, cheap rent and so on. 

Gonna be focused on providing the best content on my youtube channel and most importantly helping my students with the best quality lesson as I can!
