My sister gave me this advice: remember that the ultimate goal with homeschooling is to help your kids be lifelong learners, not to master a certain set of information each year.

The best homeschooling advice I ever received was from my husband. He told me "It doesn't matter what level our child is on at the time, that is why we homeschool, so that we can let our kid learn at their own pace!" In the beginning I was so worried about my daughter "catching up" and then I realized, catching up with who? We can do what we need to, when we need to as long as she is learning we are right where we need to be!

Children under stress stop learning. That’s been the best advice I’ve received. Learning to pause and come back to something when my struggler starts getting frustrated. He’s a whole new person after just a year homeschooling. 💕

Don't compare your homeschooling journey to anyone else. COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY!!!!

As a mom of 10 the best advice is
“The days may seem long but the years are short ❤️”

The best advice I've ever been given is to be my kids mom first, and teacher second. School is not worth damaging your relationship over.

The grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’s greener where you water it. Applies to so many areas of life.
Also, don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in faith.

Best piece of advice is that homeschool doesnt need to replicate a public setting. The point is that it can look anyway you want.

Best homeschooling advice: homeschool doesnt have to look like traditional learning to let that go! Best momma advice: "To the world, it may seem like you're nothing but to your children, YOU ARE THEIR EVERYTHING" 💕

The best advice I was given when my oldest son was born over 34 years ago. His doctor told me the day he was born to remember that it was important for me to take one hour a day for me. I’ve stayed true to that and it has been the best advice I have ever been given. I take 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night. I do exactly what I want to do for me. It may be a nap, reading, walking, planning my personal goals, etc it doesn’t matter. What matters most is to remember I am a person as well as a mother, wife, daughter, etc.

If God has called you, He will equip you. When I was fighting the battle of whether or not I was capable of homeschooling my kids this advice is what made me step out in Faith and trust that God has this! I am entering into this new chapter knowing that I am not in control. I know that if He is calling me to this, then He will absolutely be with me, and equip me along the way!

My nugget of truth is reading out loud to your children! I homeschooled and nine children for 11 years and I read out loud to them at every school day for about an hour to an hour and a half and it was so enjoyable and we got so much out of it I would really recommend it to anybody who homeschools their children

Don't worry about teaching them ALL THE THINGS. Teach them to be life long learners. ❤

Someone once told me this quote from Corrie Ten Boom. I struggle with depression and anxiety so I find it really helpful. “If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you’ll be at rest.” ❤

The best piece of advice I was given was from my oncologist right after I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. He said, "Yes, you have been given an awful diagnosis however, don't sit around dwelling on what might happen & that your life is over. Leave here with the mindset that you are going to live every single second of your life to fullest!" From that moment forward to present day, I have never looked back & felt sorry for myself or worried about the future. I treasure every.single.second of my life with my babies, my husband & everything. My only regret is not enjoying things so much more beforehand. =) <3 XOXOXOXO ~Crystal

Best advise: “what other people think is none of your business”. This is true for homeschooling, parenting, and just life in general.

Best advice I was given was by my husband. Live by airplane rules. I have a tendency to take care of everyone else while I'm falling apart. He always reminds me the on airplanes you fit your own oxygen mask before helping others, cause if you fall in a heap you can't help anyone.
