Thanks for the video, I now make rigging and antennas for EVERYTHING. I also pass along your technique to others.

I've been building models for a long time now.. Always used thread for the rigging or antennas. I heard about stretching spru but thought it would be hard to get it uniform with having to sand it down.. Watching this, I see it's actually easier than I thought.. Thanks for posting this.. I'm going to try it on my next build..

Very grateful to you for making this video. Do you have any plans to show how to use stretched sprue to make weld beads?

Great vid guys, enjoyed it. I still can't understand how folks have a hard time stretching sprue. Like in the video even demonstrating how folks mess up seems harder than actually stretching it right LOL. Another good use for the stretched sprue I use is to use the handle piece(the part you held while pulling) to make a super glue applicator. just snip off the stretched sprue about and inch from the handle, then you can flatten the tip, dip into super glue and put just a dab where you need it. Works great for putting on tiny photo etch parts.

Yes i have seen where those take Qtips and do the same for Liquid glue for long tubing when to glue in small places. I found out with air can straw! . But i went through Qtip! Im sure you have seen or heard about it.

I'm thinking, when you screw up a panel line on a wing or something, by too much sanding or a glue accident, this could be a perfect solution for reconstructing it.

Another thing I do is strech realy thin then cut about 3-4 inch sections, Then any realy small parts I temp glue one to it, That way I keep my hams out iof the way and actually see where I am placing things, Then of course use another to apply the glue. Once set I scrape off with a blade?

Hi, As a kid many years ago I always did that for the Aerials, Then I joined the Army and guess what, Aerials are not tapered, That is why I now use wire. I glue an extra nub inside and drill the hole to give a bigger glue area and use super glue

Just a suggestion....but perhaps when you are filming over a piece of white card (styrene?), and you place text on screen, perhaps NOT use a white text....cos we can't see it!!! :p
